Nkuruba Community Tours grew out of guided walks around the crater lakes near Fort Portal and is based at the community-run Nkuruba Nature Reserve and campsite. It now organises Uganda safaris including gorilla trekking in Bwindi, chimpanzee tracking in Kibale and Budongo, and savannah game drives, alongside local day tours. Community involvement and local guiding are central to its approach.
