Conservancy safaris and camps in the Maasai Mara and SamburuSaruni Basecamp is a Nairobi-based safari company that runs camps and lodges in community conservancies in the Maasai Mara and Samburu, operated in partnership with local Maasai and Samburu communities. It was formed from two Kenyan safari companies, Basecamp (founded 1998) and Saruni (founded 2003), which merged in 2021. Alongside stays at its camps, it offers packaged safaris of around a week combining the Mara and Samburu, plus family safaris, honeymoons, walking safaris, rhino tracking on foot, bird watching and visits to the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary.
